Dr. Mitchel Sauvageau Bio
Dr. Mitchel Sauvageau is a board-certified otolaryngologist (ENT specialist) serving patients in Hendersonville and Nashville, Tennessee, with expertise in ear, nose, and throat care as well as facial plastic surgery. He provides comprehensive treatment for a wide range of ENT conditions, combining advanced surgical training with a patient-centered approach.
Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Dr. Sauvageau spent his early years in both Lincoln and Omaha. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Biochemistry and Psychology from the University of Nebraska, where he was actively involved in volunteering with children with special needs and the Special Olympics.
He went on to attend Lincoln Memorial University–DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee, where he earned his medical degree. During medical school, Dr. Sauvageau and his wife participated in a medical mission trip to Haiti, reflecting his commitment to service and global healthcare.
Dr. Sauvageau completed a 5-year residency in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery through McLaren Health System, affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. During his final year, he was honored to serve as Chief Resident. He also held a clinical faculty position with Michigan State University for two years, where he contributed to the education of medical students and residents, and he continues to enjoy teaching and lecturing.

In his free time, he also enjoys reading, snowboarding, and trying new activities, and remains a loyal Nebraska football fan.
