Dr. Amit Sharad Patel Bio

Dr. Amit Sharad Patel is a board-certified otolaryngologist (ENT specialist) serving patients in Hendersonville, Hermitage, and Lebanon, Tennessee, providing comprehensive care for a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions. His clinical interests include minimally invasive ENT procedures, sinus surgery, allergy treatment, pediatric ENT, and endocrine surgery.


A Nashville native, Dr. Patel attended Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet High School, where he played varsity basketball. He earned his undergraduate degree in Engineering Science from Vanderbilt University before completing his medical degree at the East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine. He then completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.


Following his residency, Dr. Patel joined the University of Michigan Department of Otolaryngology as a Clinical Instructor, where he contributed to academic medicine and advanced ENT training.

Dr. Patel is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, reflecting his expertise in allergy-related ENT conditions and sinus disease management. He is also an active member of:

Dr. Patel practices the full spectrum of general ENT care, with a strong focus on:

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Patel enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. His hobbies include exercising, playing basketball, traveling internationally, and attending sporting events, especially Tennessee Titans and Vanderbilt games.
