Bio
Mike Slifka was born and raised in Nashville, TN. He graduated high school with an honors diploma from Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Magnet High School where he played varsity football, baseball, wrestling, and track. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science. He then earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. He is a licensed physical therapist through the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
Mike has many post-graduate achievements, including earning accreditations as a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT), Certified Dry Needling Specialist (CDNS), Certified Vestibular Therapist (CVT), and Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) trained. He is currently pursuing the Advanced Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (ACOMT) accreditation. Mike enjoys treating all outpatient orthopedic conditions, but he has a passion for treating patients with dizziness/vertigo, cervicogenic headaches, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disease. In addition to being a physical therapist, Mike has been the Practice Administrator for our company since 2023.
Mike, his wife, and two daughters live in Mount Juliet, TN. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and loves outdoor activities including playing golf, running, hiking, doing yard work, and going with his family to the beach. He is an avid sports fan and loves to cheer for the Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators, Tennessee Volunteers, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Atlanta Braves.
